After year of vast research, fine tuning and continuous organized testing in different conditions and setups we can confirm that CD DRS is highly performing sail in all conditions in both – reaching and downwind.
Positioned between the Flat and Medium models, the DRS- is ideal for sailors who can handle a more technical sail shape and who feel underpowered with the CD Flat in light conditions.
This model is best used with softer spars. Start with the gear the sailor typically uses, then progressively test stiffer or softer combinations.
Special features of DRS semi-radial model
Combination of radial and horizontal panels offers all the advantages of radial designs without loosing winning features of horizontal panel construction.
- The radial design in the bottom part helps to avoid deformation of the sail shape in the critical areas of major pressure. Carefully studied panel positioning assures the greater stability of the shape even in the hard wind conditions.
- Being more stable in the foot area the sail responds better to the regulation of the foot.
- Higher durability
- Our sails have a special dyneema pretensioning system in the top of the sail. This extra performance feature assures that the sail keeps it's shape under tension. In the long run, the sail, without this system creates a vibration that affects not only the aesthetics of the sail but also the performance.

Mast: MK3, MK3 Medium, MK3 Flex, CD Soft
Boom: 45 mm
Sprit: MK3 Flex, MK3 HF
Progression Tip:
After using the DRS-, sailors may transition to the CD Medium. Alternatively, they can move to the DRS model while retaining soft spars, gaining more speed in light-to-medium winds, though possibly sacrificing performance in stronger wind.

DRS sail technology
All our sails have a special dynema pretensioning system in the top of the sail. This extra performance features assures that the sail keeps it's shape and tension. If sail does not have this dynema and dynema pretensioning, sail can have the vibration that modifies the shape over the time.
