CD Sails Academy  April  2-4 

3 days training  before Lake Garda Meeting 

Our Academy editions are organized in 3  but very intense days.  Our aim is to bring together and offer to sailors the group of TOP coaches ,experts and technicians in the Optimist class allowing to bring your skills to the next level . We  carefully select our coaches to create the successful and efficient combination of  various experiences, approaches and methods and assure that you get out the  maximum result of these 3 days with us.

Where:

The training is organized in Campione Univela Hostel in Via Riccardo Cozzaglio 1, 25010 Campione del Garda, Italy  www.campioneunivela.it   

Surrounded by trees and mountains on Lake Garda's shores, around 5km. from Limone sul Garda, with a private beach, equipment and structure for the water sports. The rooms feature a balcony with mountain or lake views, TV, air conditioning, internet and private bathroom.

Participants  will have  a large green area  and dedicated areas to keep the equipment. 

 

Accommodation:

Campione Univela has numerous rooms and apartments available for   sailors and their   families/coaches/accompanying adults.

Sailors that are participating in CD Sails clinic will have the possibility to book  their stay with special discount code (code will be shared directly  from CD sails  to the participants of Academy).

Discount applied  for accommodation for CD Sails academy  participants will be 15%

 

Meals:

We  will organize a  lunch on the shore  or  pocket lunch. 

The meals out of  academy hours  (  breakfast  and dinner) should be organized independently.

 

Coaches & Experts:   

Pavlo Dontsov: Internationally  recognized Optimist  coach  of Ukraine team and one of the last year’s most titled sailor Sviatoslav Madonich. During the last year Pavlo team has taken the highest podiums  and victories in all the most important  international regattas.

Paolo Mariotti: One of the most known Italian coaches, has been working with many talented  world level sailors  including Adriano Quan Cardi -  Optimist European Champion. 

Claudio Demartis: Owner of CD Sails, founder of Olimpic Sails. Sailor of many successes at a national and international level, winner of 3 world championships. Sail making  experience  of more than 40 years,  vast technical knowledge of Optimist sailing equipment

 

Work Program:

We will give solutions of how to plan, prepare, manage and finish the regatta carrying out the maximum performance.

The trainings will be held in the Lake Garda Meeting racing area, helping sailors to prepare for this unique  and crazy Optimist regatta-  huge amount of participants, difficult starts, tricky conditions of Garda lake. 

Some of the topics are: problematics of the starts, planning and execution of the race strategy, improvement of the technical level, work on the manoeuvres, simulation of starts, plan and defend your start position, race simulations, video analysis with targeted feedback. We pay an important  attention also to the choice and work  with the sailing  equipment - set up, regulation, testing  according to each sailor characteristics  as  an important part of the sailor's  performance.

3.04 -  4.04   08:00 - 19:00

Each training  day consists of trainings in water (approx.70%) and the classroom lessons( approx.30%). 

Depending on weather conditions  we plan to have:

- 2  water sessions  (morning session -  re-entering for lunch in the mid-day  when wind is usually low-  afternoon session- debriefing)  

or

 -1 long water session  with pocket lunch  -  debriefing 

The work is usually divided in 2 or maximum 3 groups depending on the sailor level.  Each group  will work with all coaches. 

 

Optimist charter  boats:

Fully equipped charter boats are available for our events with cost   of 45 Eur per day.

Price:   

390  Eur  + VAT 22% (if applicable)  for the event  of 3 days. 

Regatta coaching is available on request.

After  we have confirmed your  participation, we will share the  invoice with the  payment details.  

PLEASE NOTE! 

- All boats must have a valid insurance and medical  certificate.

- After clinic is finished ( around 19:00)  , sailor should organize independently for dinner and time  of  evening hours with  his reference adult.
